I NEED FOOTBALL!

Wow, I'm so impressed that there are people out there actually reading this thing. So tonight I'm just sitting here pouting about the fact that I never get to watch any football...the grey cup was this morning and I tried to avoid hearing the score all day so I could come home and watch it on the internet after school only to find out that the game isn't available for some reason even though the website says that the games are archived right after each game ends...arrrggghhh! I'm having football withdrawl. How about those Huskies! And no, it was not very hard to avoid hearing the score over here.

So we've been up to some pretty fun stuff the last little bit that Jills mom is here. Last week we went to a Hillsongs United concert. They are basically the youth band from the Hillsongs church in Australia. It was really good. They had a babies room there with big windows that looked towards the stage so Hunter and Darlene hung out in there and we all enjoyed it. I think we were the only people who showed up with a baby.

On Saturday we all went out to a place called the Gold Coast. Its kindof a resort/residential complex way out in the New Territories. We think that if we stay longer than 2 years that we're going to move out there. It's right on the ocean with a huge beach and tons of space. There is actually grass fields that you are allowed to go on! The apartments are bigger for the same price as where we are now and it's so quiet and layed back. I think it would be an awesome place for Hunter when he gets a little bigger.

Sunday after church I went with one of the pastors to watch the final round of the Hong Kong open golf tournament. It was actually way cooler than I expected golf to be. There were some really good players in it like Colin Montgomerie and Retief Goosen although I didn't see either of them because Goosen missed the cut and Montgomerie was way behind. Most of the time we followed the leaders, a Philipino guy and a guy from Spain. It was super intense because the crowed was cheering for the Asian guy who was behind by two shots at the start but caught up and went ahead by one but blew it on the 17th and the Spanish guy went ahead by one and ended up winning. Those guys are so good!

that's all I got for now. Go Huskies!

Grandma's Here!!

So we recieved enough comments that we decided to keep updating our blog...thanks Shauna...and CONGRATULATIONS!

What's new??? Well Hunter is now gaining weight, in the past month he's gained 1 Kg. Pretty good, our goal is to get him into the third percentile in the next 2 months. To do this he'll have to gain 1.5 Kgs in 2 months. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers in this matter, keep them up. Needless to say, in order to get my metabolic machine to gain weight I have to feed him at least every 2 hours so GRANDMA CAME to help me out during the day because I was getting pretty tired (Hunter still has to eat 2-3 times in the night too). So far we haven't gotten to do much because I've had tutoring, coaching and 3 Doctors appointments (each one takes about 2.5 hours) in the past 2 weeks that she's been here. Next week we're going on "holidays" though.

So really I don't have that much to say because my life consists of feeding a baby. Hunter is the biggest MONKEY in the world, he climbs and crawls into everything, his hands are always getting on everything so i decided that he should be a monkey for Halloween...Grandma brought a monkey costume with her!

We have found a Church that we really enjoy...they are so warm and personable. So that has been a major blessing, they've also given lots of prayer, support and help getting Hunter into the medical system here which has helped a lot. Words can't describe how big of an impact this Church has had in our lives in the short time we've been in Hong Kong.

Last weekend we went to the Peak which overlooks most of Hong Kong...it was pretty cool. You don't realize how big some buildings are until you are on the top of a mountain and you're looking at the top floor. (that's the picture with my mom and I)

The other picture is of our thanksgiving feast...the people in our building rented the clubhouse and we had a Thanksgiving dinner. Everybody brought their favorite Thanksgiving dish and it was SO SO SO GOOD! It made it feel a little like Canada, and we watched Corner Gas.

So really I don't have much else to say. Ryan's just been on my case to update the blog so here is a lame update, sorry, I am very uninspired to write right now and my brain isn't really thinking too well at the moment. I will try to update more often than every month.
