Many things have happened in the last few months. Jill's mom and dad are here visiting and Hunter is having a great time playing hide and seek by the hour with them. Only a few more weeks until christmas break when my mom, dad and aunt will come for a visit. We are really looking forward to their visit and having some time away from school. Coaching swimming and basketball have started to really wear me out. My girls basketball team is much improved over last year. We won our first game of the year against australian international school 12-8. I'm thinking we need to improve our offence a little if we want to win any more games.
Being the "coach" of the swim team this year has afforded me the opportunity to learn how to swim. I have gone from barely being able to dog paddle to being able to freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. It was a little embarasing watching 10 year olds fly past me everyday at practice.
Jill has been training very hard for her marathons. We're off to Macau this weekend where she's going to run in her first full marathon. She ran a half marathon about a month ago as a warmup race and much to her suprise she ended up winning! She won a pair of shoes (which she gave to her mom) and a sweet watch (which she gave to me) so it was a good haul for the rest of us!
I bought a mountain bike in september and have been doing a lot of cycling. There are miles and miles of paved bike paths around our house. There are even some pretty wild mountainous "trails" not far away that we have tried out once but I think I need some more practice and some padding before I try those again.
